Sarah Bowers - Teacher

I am a native Floridian and grew up in Maitland, Florida.  I'm married to my wonderful husband Mike who was my high school sweetheart.  He joined the Air Force and we were stationed at Homestead Air Force base until Hurricane Andrew forced us to leave.  We lived in Tampa for 7 years then we moved back to Orlando in 1999. My husband works at The Cape and has been with the Air Force 26 years! We have 3 beautiful daughters. Ashley our oldest who works for AT&T and lives on her own, Aubrey our beautiful Angel in Heaven, and our youngest, Allison, our little social butterfly.  As a family we love traveling, camping and boating together.  I had a home daycare and taught preschool. In the past I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering for United Cerebral Palsy. God has led me to University Carillon Preschool and I am very excited to be working here!

Lee Ann Burgess - Teacher

My name is LeeAnn Burgess. I was born in Long Island NY and moved here to Orlando when I was seven years old with my parents. I am blessed to have five wonderful children that include four boys and one daughter who are either in High School or College and are Graduates of UCP!!! I have been teaching Preschool on and off while being a stay at home Mom since 1998. I started teaching here at UCP and I have also taught Preschool at Parkway Baptist in East Orlando. Now that my children are grown and I have more time, I have decided to teach full time and I am so happy to be back in such a great Christian environment that UCP has along with the wonderful staff. I am looking forward to learning with and watching the children in my class grow and feel blessed to be a part of their life.

Faith Larson - Support

I am married to my wonderful husband, Brian. We are active members of University Carillon United Methodist Church. We have two awesome boys, Matthew and Noah. Both of our boys have graduated from UCP and now attend Partin Elementary School.  Matthew is entering third grade and Noah is starting first grade.

I was born and grew up in southeastern PA. After I graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, I moved to FL. While working with three and four year olds, I earned my CDA. I taught Kindergarten in a private school and first grade in the Pinellas County School Board system. I have been a two year old support teacher for the last two and a half years at UCP.

I am looking forward to a blessed year with you and your children.

Karla Leyte-Vidal - Teacher

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico.  I moved to Florida shortly after getting married in 1998. All three of my children attend UCP and had wonderful experiences here.

I had the opportunity to become part of the UCP staff in 2007. It has been a blessing for me to work in the great Christian environment that UCP offers.  I’ve been working, teaching and learning with two year olds and I’m fortunate to be part of the growth of such amazing little minds.

I enjoy being at home with my family or getting together with friends on the weekends. I love animals, gardening and cooking.

Kellie Mitchell - Support

I was blessed to become part of the UCP staff in January 2009. Prior to joining UCP, I was a 3 year old and Pre-K teacher at Prairie Pals Preschool in Oswego IL. My husband, Spencer, our two boys, and our three dachshunds and I were lucky enough to move to Oviedo in August 2008. I am so grateful to be able to continue with my love for teaching preschoolers in such an awesome Christian environment!

Michelle Patterson - Support

I moved to Orlando over 16 years ago when I met and fell in love with my husband while on the College Program at Disney. I transferred to the University of Central Florida where I earned my bachelors degree and began my dream career as a teacher. During my years in OCPS, I had the privilege of teaching grades k-3 including a special needs class in addition to being the extended day coordinator. Then God blessed me with 3 wonderful children in a short 4 years time span and my career was placed on pause. As my children grew and started attending UCP, I began volunteering at the preschool. The more I volunteered the more I became part of the UCP family and revisited the joy that comes from working with children. Today, I am thrilled to be a member of the staff here and look forward to sharing with you and your family what makes our school so special.

Nisha St. Cyr - Support

I'm originally from New York and moved to Florida in 2004. I found my way to Carillon in 2007 while fulfilling hours for a class. A few months later I began working in the Nursery and I have been there since.

This will be my first year working at UCP and I am extremely excited to be with the twos and to watch them grow throughout this school year!

Natalie Wright – Support

My husband and I were married in 2002 and have three beautiful girls. God blessed us with our oldest daughter and then blessed us again nineteen months later with identical twin girls. I graduated from UCF with a marketing degree and worked in marketing and advertising until I had my first child and decided to be a stay-at-home mom. During my oldest daughter’s first year at UCP, I volunteered a great deal which let me work with the children and staff and it was then that I realized what God was calling me to do. I spent most of last year subbing for all ages at UCP and developed such a strong bond with so many of the amazing children. I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to work with such a wonderful staff, support an amazing teacher and work with your awesome children! God has blessed me in so many ways!
