Cindy
Rivadenyra - M/W - PE Teacher
After many years in the professional world dong things such as managing a major fitness corporation, airline public relations agent, flight attendant and traveling to exciting and wonderful places, I decided to marry and start a family.
I moved to Orlando in 1997 with my husband Rick, and now we have two wonderful daughters ages 10 and 5. It is my five year old that motivated me to get back to the real world. I loved being a stay-at-home Mom, but the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of people and seeing my baby interact outside our home was not an opportunity that I was going to pass. For this I am grateful and proud to be part of the staff here at University Carillon. |
Sheri Dyer - T/Th/F - PE Teacher
My goals have changed since becoming a parent, which lead me to pursue my CDA certification. Upon graduation at the University of South Dakota and completion of my Certified Public Accounting (CPA) licensing, I moved to Minnesota. Shortly after becoming a full time mother, I had my second child and for the next few years I remained at home focusing 100% on them.
As time permitted, I involved myself as a volunteer in community activities that involved children. These activities guided me to pursue a new career in childhood education. I started volunteering in the public school system and at a children’s shelter managed by the Children’s Home Society. I also taught Sunday school at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and joined their LWML organization.
After both my children started school full-time, I became a certified substitute teacher for Seminole County Public Schools. For two years I taught K – 5th grade classes at Carillon Elementary and Partin Elementary. I truly enjoyed the experience and when a part-time position became available at University Carillon Preschool, I jumped at the chance to work in a Christian church teaching preschoolers! I worked/played as a support teacher for two years and then took over the P.E. coaching position. I love it and hope to continue for many years. |

Muise - Music
My name is Sheri Muise and I have been the
music teacher at UCP since the Fall of 2004. I was born
and raised in Orlando and graduated from Boone High School
in 1983 and from UCF in 1988, with an Accounting degree.
My family and I attended Pine Castle United Methodist Church
where I was a regular soloist, choir member and handbell
player. I married my husband Bob in 1989, and a year later
we relocated to Panama City Beach, Florida, where we lived
for six years. During those six years, our three children
were born and I was a stay-at-home mom. We were so happy
when circumstances allowed us to return home to the Orlando
area where our parents and brothers still live. We love
living in Oviedo and were so happy to find University Carillon
Church "just down the street.” We stopped in
originally to see about putting our 4-yr-old in preschool;
and when the phone rang with the news that he got in, we
had a church home! Over the last 16 years of marriage,
Bob has earned his Masters and more recently his Doctoral
degree in Mathematics. Our oldest child just entered High
School, sings like an angel, and has a boyfriend. Our middle
child plays Pop Warner Football, makes all A's and has
set a goal to learn to play 5 instruments (and is well
on his way). Our youngest child is eleven and has brought
the biggest change in me. God has used him and his "special
needs" to help me see things clearer and feel things
deeper than would have ever been possible otherwise. I
am back to work after all these years and the two days
a week is just right! I get to sing and dance and praise
God with two-, three- and four-year-olds, and they give
me hugs and say things like, "You're pretty" and, "You
did a great job today!" It doesn't get much better
than that. |
