BIBLE LUNCH

ONCE A MONTH ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
Prepare lunch for all students. The Pre-K classes are served in the sanctuary cafeteria style to help prepare them for Kindergarten lunch times. All other classes are served in their classrooms. Lunches consist of pizza, fruit/veggie, dessert/snack and drink. We include a Bible story and a toy in a specially decorated bag.

Helpers needed:
Two volunteers to be lead coordinator, one for each day.
Five volunteers for each day to decorate sacks and insert items in lunch bags. Will also deliver lunches to 2s/3s and serve 4s lunch

TRANSPORTATION PARADE / TRIKE-A-THON

SEPTEMBER - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
The purpose of this event is to give preschoolers the opportunity to experience various transportation vehicles. Students ride bikes through a course. They collect pledges for their participation. Pledge funds are used for day events such Star Lab, Healthy Herb, Pro-Kids, etc.

Helpers needed:
Lead Coordinator to make calls to secure participants in the transportation parade.
Three volunteers for each day to release classes at scheduled time and to take pictures.
Four volunteers for each day to operate the Trike-a-thon stations.

PUMPKIN PATCH FUN

OCTOBER - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
Fall activity centers, games, hayride, fall class pictures.

Helpers needed:
Ten volunteers to operate center stations
One volunteer for taking pictures
One volunteer to run the hayride

4-YEAR-OLD THANKSGIVING PROGRAM W/ART

NOVEMBER - EVENING EVENT

Description of event:
Musical Thanksgiving Program followed by butter-making, corn-boiling, weaving, photo opportunities and refreshments.

Mission Event: Canned goods/non perishables for local shelters

Helpers needed:
Ten volunteers to decorate and set up Sanctuary the morning of the program
Six volunteers to help with clean up after the event

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

FALL & SPRING - DAY/EVENING EVENT

Description of event:
Sale of books and other educational items. Books for the library and classrooms are selected from proceeds of the Bookfair.

Helpers needed:
Several volunteers to help with the Fair. Each volunteer works a few hours on the assigned day.

GINGERBREAD NIGHT

DECEMBER - EVENING EVENT

Description of event:
This is our annual Christmas Party for students and their families. Each family is scheduled for an evening of creating a family gingerbread house.

Helpers needed:
Twelve volunteers to make icing prior to the event- Six Kitchen Aid mixers to barrow
Several parents to set up tables and sort/bag goodies for gingerbread kits

WINTER WONDERLAND

JANUARY - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
Exploring winter fun. Classes take turns attending this event. They experience ice skating, tobogganing, making a craft and eating a snowflake cookie.

Helpers needed:
Ten volunteers to run a station and assist
A volunteer for each day to be in character as the snowman

MUD DAYS

MARCH - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
Children play in mud and water and participate in various activities.

Helpers needed:
Fifteen volunteers for each day of the event to run the various activities

3-YEAR OLD NOAH’S ARK PROGRAM W/ART

MARCH - EVENING EVENT

Description of event:
Musical program followed by refreshments and face painting.

Helpers needed:
Twelve parents to decorate and set up the Sanctuary the morning of the program
Five parents to decorate/frame the art and decorate the tables

WATER DAYS

MAY - DAY EVENT

Description of event:
Students participate in various water related games and play in sprinklers.

Helpers needed:
Ten volunteers to run center stations
One volunteer for taking pictures
One volunteers for each day to release classes at scheduled time

PRE-K GRADUATION

MAY - EVENING EVENT

Description of event:
Graduation for Pre-K students.

Helpers needed:
Twelve parents to help decorate and set up Sanctuary the morning of the program
Five volunteers to prepare items prior to event
